JOB DESCRIPTION:The Chief Inspector of the bank shall report directly to the Managing Director/Chief Executive officer and is expected to perform the following roles;• Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures as well as other rules and regulations stipulated by the regulatory authorities (CBN, NDIC, etc)• Establish and maintain as far as possible the authenticity, completeness and accuracy of the bank's records and transactions.• Safeguard the bank's assets (Tangible and intangible) bank-wide. • Intitate and formulate relevant policies, plans and programmes for efficient and effective running of the banks operational activities.• Enforce compliance to bank's standards and ethics through establishment of disciplinary processes.• Responsible for in-house auditing of the various areas of the bank to ensure satisfactory audit ratings by External Auditors and Regulatory bodies.• Monitor Operational, Credit, IT and human risks and ensure that there are adequate management policies and steps to mitigate these risks are put in place.• Monitor the Information Systems and Technology Audit Charter by system auditors as well as execute the general audit plan of the division.• Constantly monitor audit developments in the industry and take appropriate action.

QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE:The suitable candidate must have the following;• Must possess a good first degree or its equivalent in accounting/Banking & Finance from a reputable university.• A masters degree in Finance, Economics, statistics or Business Administration.• Professional qualifications in accounting and systems Audit (ACA, ACCA, CISA, FCA etc,) will be desirable.• 15-20 years of cognate post qualification experience which cuts across all aspect of bank activities with not less than 5 years as Chief Inspector or designate in a reputable bank.• Must be between 38-45 years old.
