UPSTREAM FACILITIES ENGINEERING AT CHEVRON:
We are currently looking for facilities/project/ design engineers to: •Provide technical support in the development of designs for new facilities.
•Optimize processes operations at existing facilities.
•Manage all aspects of construction projects, such as the installation of oil, gas and water production, separation and injection facilities.

Our engineers work with tanks, vessels, compressors, pumps, piping, power distribution and computer controls. Work includes making repairs, adding new features or functionality and installing new equipment.
Facilities engineers can work in a variety of functional areas including Materials Corrosion, Pipelines, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Process, Instrumentation Control, Reliability, and Floating Systems. Our engineers are involved in both onshore and offshore assignments.

We have opportunities for Facility Engineers in various locations internationally, including Africa, Asia Pacific, Eurasia, Europe, Latin America the Caribbean, the Middle East, as well as the United States and Canada.
In some positions, especially where knowledge of Chevron processes or software is critical, an assignment outside of the United States with Chevron International may include a short assignment in Houston, Texas prior to the assignment.
We offer several work schedules including residential overseas, and rotational (28 days on and 28 days off).

Position Details :

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITES:
•Supervise multidisciplinary teams of Engineers, Construction Supervisors and Inspectors
•Provide construction support for all phases of projects from planning to actual construction.
•Support transition to operational phase.
•Manage projects through a matrix organization sharing critical resources such as design, drafting, and construction support.
•Significant contracting is required to execute work load.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Specialization and involvement with structural design analysis, weight control, transportation installation.
•Involvement with project planning, constructability reviews, design, procurement, fabrication, load out, transportation and installation.
•Interface with other engineering disciplines, in-country personnel, and those associated with existing facilities and other projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Demonstrated Structural engineering project experience on offshore and/or onshore facilities; e.g. structural design analysis, weight control, transportation installation.

•Demonstrates highest safety environmental performance and leadership traits, must be proactive in addressing safety issues and have a proven track record of strong support of processes that support Incident Free Operations.
Demonstrate support of management objectives and be a change champion.Have a good understanding of safe design operating principles.

•Ability to work effectively (minimal supervision) in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment.
History of success working with complex processes and organizations to ensure project resources (material, equipment, and resources) are secured efficiently.
Employ organizational skills, managing diverse workload for multiple customers.

•Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, must be able to effectively communicate with management, customers and direct reports. Should have the ability to recognize communication gaps and appropriately address them.

•Ability to effectively manage or actively support the work team in a diverse, multidisciplinary group.
Ability to maintain positive relationships with peers, contractors, supervisors, and customers.

•Demonstrated project management skills. Wide experience in managing multiple small to medium-sized projects.

•Bachelors degree required in Civil/Structural Engineering.
