Position Overview:

Chevron International Exploration & Production is accepting onlineapplications for the position of Operations Mentor - Meji(0709-501816670 located in Escravos/Offshore, Nigeria through 11/01/2007.

Provide operational support to Field Production Operations. Deliverproficient knowledge and trouble shooting capabilities in Processflow, Process Equipment and Base Business practices. Develop, executeand manage training processes for employee development.

Position Details: Key Job Responsibilities for this position mayinclude but are not limited to:
- Develop, execute and manage training processes for national employeedevelopment.
- Operate facilities when needed.
- Trouble shoot Process upsets and implement processes to prevent reoccurrence.
- Work with Construction Group during facility design, installationand commission.
- Commission process equipment and safety systems.
- Submit work orders, purchase orders in JDE. Manage criticalequipment inventories.
- Support, coordinate & drive Base Business Initiatives. (SERIP, IPSO,WRO) Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate and Supervise daily work activities as needed.
- Facilitate OE training sessions, OE Meetings, and BBS.
- Perform Permit to Work and Safety Audits.
- Lead or participate on HAZID, RCA and other teams when needed.
- Assist where needed when staffing shortages dictate.
- Optimize production and reduce production losses due to nuisanceprocess upsets.Basic Qualifications:
- Relocation benefits will not be considered.

- This is a safety sensitive position.
- Rotational assignment working a 28 on and 28 off schedule.
- Ability to champion organizational management of change, with goodinterpersonal and teaching skills.

Selection Criteria:

Health, Environmental & Safety Compliance
- Demonstrate expertise and commitment to Operational Excellence (OE), safe work processes & SOP's.
- Demonstrate expertise and Leadership in STOP (BBS) and aggressiveidentification and correction of "at risk" safety behaviors.
- Knowledge of Safety System SOP's and Testing requirements.

Critical technical skills:
-Broad working knowledge of Process equipment including operation ofseparators, chem-electric/ heater treaters, air compressors, pumps(centrifugal and PD), turbine driven gas compression units and glycoldehydration, well heads and associated safety devices, turbine drivengenerators and associated switch gear, and safety devices of alltypes.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and/or processupsets. Familiaration w/ P&ID's drawings and MOC process.

I&E Capability:
Working knowledge of instrumentation control systems. Pneumatics aswell as PLC, DCS, SCADA systems. Working knowledge of powergeneration, distribution systems.
- Optimizing production and Gas Lift trouble shooting.

- Proficient Fluid and Gas Metering troubleshooting knowledge.

Communication and Computer Skills :
- Ability to instill Team Work through tactful and constructivecommunication w/ Supervisor and Peers.
- Demonstrate report writing skill
- Good computer skills and familiarity w/Microsoft Office suite ofprograms, able to navigate and utilize software/file systems on theshared drive. Able to build, populate and manipulate Excelspreadsheets.
- Ability to navigate and execute in JDE System for work orders andmaterial orders.
